Hellenic News: We are interviewing Nikos Demourtzidis, Esquire, one of the prominent lawyers in the Greater Philadelphia Area located in Chadds Ford, PA.
“What are you focusing in your office as one of the prominent Greek American Lawyers here in the Greater Delaware Valley, and explain what you mean by the name Opus Real Estate?”
Nikos Demourtzidis: “Primarily, the firm handles all facets of Real Estate Law: Commercial, Residential, Financing, Acquisitions, Sales, Leases, and from time–to-time we also represent business owners who are selling, leasing, or buying businesses. Opus symbolizes one’s masterpiece or top work, if you will, so I thought it was a fitting name for the Law Firm.”
Hellenic News: “It sounds like your firm is a one-stop-shop, offering full service in the field of Real Estate Law. What areas of Real Estate do you suggest that Business People should pay attention to in today’s economic climate?”
Nikos Demourtzidis: “In this economic climate, there are lots of deals to be made, especially on the buying side. Coupled with the fact that banks are dealing with historic low interest rates, for potential investors or business owners, it’s a great time to be out there looking at properties or businesses to invest in.”
Hellenic News: “So now’s the time to move in. What was your motivation to follow your profession? Any good experiences out of that?”

Nikos Demourtzidis: “Good question. I think the beauty of Real Estate Law that it is applicable to everyday life; from buying a commercial property to refinancing your home. At the end of the day, I enjoy it because it’s transactional, and all parties are working towards a common goal.”
Hellenic News: Any suggestions for today’s students or business people that are entering the field of Law?”
Nikos Demourtzidis: “I think first and foremost, it’s always good to touch base with your peers, my age and older, to get some advice and start putting in time as early as possible; perhaps shadow an attorney or work in a law office for a period of time to see if it’s something you really want to do.”
Opus Real Estate is located at 137 Commons Court in Chadds Ford, PA 19317.
