Exhibitors and sponsored have committed themselves for a rendezvous in 2014. Hermes International Expo again proved it is the platform aassisting local and international businesses in penetrating the American Ethnic market, primarily through the Greek American business community of 2.5 million people.

Archbishop Convenes Meeting for Cyprus Support

Thirty six representatives of major Greek-American and Cypriot-American federations, institutions and organizations participated in a special meeting convened by Archbishop Demetrios on April 3, at Archdiocese headquarters to express the support and solidarity with the people of Cyprus, in light of their great economic and humanitarian difficulties.

Just when the sharks—I mean the bankers—thought it was safe to go back in the water, the Cypriot crisis erupted in the middle of last month, triggering a new financial crisis that once again threatened the Eurozone and rattled the world’s money markets. It seems, indeed, that crisis is the new norm for the European Union, as it has been since the Greek economy was deliberately imploded in 2009. Now, as unemployment approaches 30% in Greece itself, the world’s only other Greek-speaking nation, the island Republic Cyprus with its 1,100,000 citizens, is facing an even more dire and precipitous calamity.
