Conference: "The importance and maintenance of the Greek Language and Culture"
Meetings and awards to Greek Educators in the United States and the Greek youth during the 22nd Annual Hermes Expo Dinner at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Atlantic City.
The Federation of Greek Educators in the United States in cooperation with "Prometheus" in New York and the Hermes Expo International and other Greek-American Organizations are hosting the Annual Educators, Parents and friends of the Greek Language and Education Annual Conference. They are also hosting a panel "The importance and maintenance of the Greek language and Culture."

Για να αποφύγω τα ήδη γνωστά, δεν θα αναλύσω το γεγονός ότι οι Η.Π.Α. είναι εδώ και πολύ καιρό ένα ενιαίο κράτος με ενιαία φωνή προς τα έξω, αλλά και ενιαία φωνή προς το εσωτερικό των πολιτών της. Πράγμα που της επέτρεψε στο πέρασμα του χρόνου να είναι σήμερα η μοναδική υπερδύναμη.
Στον αντίποδα η Ευρωπαϊκή ΄Ενωση ή όπως (κατά το σχεδιασμό προβλέπετο ως Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες της Ευρώπης) βρίσκονται ακόμη σε εμβρυακό στάδιο και σε τέτοια κρίση ώστε να κινδυνεύει το έμβρυο να αποβληθεί.
Η μόνη ανθηρή και κυρίαρχη σήμερα χώρα-πολιτεία της Ευρωπαϊκής ΄Ενωσης είναι η Γερμανία και το ερώτημα που γεννάται δεν είναι αν η Γερμανία διαχειρίζεται την κρίση με προκλητικά σκανδαλώδη τρόπο προς όφελός της, αλλά εάν η Ευρώπη και με ποιους όρους θα απελευθερωθεί εκ νέου από τη Γερμανία.
