“HERMES EXPO” PROMOTES GREEK-AMERICAN BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC COOPERATION, CONSISTENTLY PROJECTING HELLENISM SINCE 1992

“HERMES EXPO” PROMOTES GREEK-AMERICAN BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC COOPERATION, CONSISTENTLY PROJECTING HELLENISM SINCE 1992

PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT
This year's business Forum of over 120 US, Greek and Greek-American companies will be on display at the 15th “Hermes Expo” which will take place on April 8 and 9, 2006 at the professional exhibit area of the “Trump Marina” complex in Atlantic City, NJ.
The main characteristics of this year’s exhibition are:
The continuation of the cordial business arrangement between the cities of Philadelphia and Thessaloniki that started in 1999 under the “Hermes Expo” auspices. Coming from Greece are HELEXPO, the Chamber of Commerce of Thessaloniki, Infote, Interplan, Ninnis Coffee, and Jbeili Jewelry.
The meeting of the Philadelphia Port Authorty and the Port Authority of Thessaloniki which is considered the central seaport of the Balkans.
Numerous professional and business meetings (B to B) for growth and cooperation between domestic and international entrepreneurs.
Greek-American businesses and Americans interested in doing business with the Greek Americans and in Greece are invited to participate at the networking functions of the 15th Hermes Expo.
Emphasis will be placed on the triptych of “Education - Youth - Civilization” through a job fair, college placement and internship opportunities.
Presentation of the renowned theatrical production of “Nefeli” from Toronto, Canada, presented by the Federation of Greek Educators in USA and the Athenian Society.
Participation of members of the Greek-American and Greek Press.
Tasting of Greek food products.
A Symposium: “Globalization of Economic Markets, the Internationalization of Education, and Mediterranean Nutrition.”
The activities of Hermes Expo will last five days, from April 5 through 10, 2006. They will begin in New York and will continue in Philadelphia, Atlantic City and Washington D.C.
Giving Priority to Our Youth
The founder of the Hermes Expo, Mr. Paul Kotrotsios, is pleased to extend an invitation to all Greek-American and American businesses to participate in the job fair: “This year, we inaugurate this effort and we strongly believe that it constitutes an effective way to engage and benefit our youth. There are hundreds of Greek-American businesses which can help our children.” Mr. Kotrotsios cites that “We asked all the businessmen in Greece and in the U.S. to participate in our exhibition and to give this unique opportunity to our youth. “I am sending a message to the Greek-American enterprises, that even if they don’t participate in the Hermes Expo, that they should cooperate with our “Opportunity Fair.” The Greek-American youth of our community will be able to submit their resumes to a specific desk, and from there, all the submitted materials will be forwarded to all the appropriate businesses based on qualifications and skills. Our long-term is the institution of the “Opportunity Fair” at the Hermes Expo with ever-increasing participation and cooperation of businesses and organizations from the U.S. and Greece.”
Mr. Kotrotsios stresses that the goals of the exhibition go beyond the entrepreneurial issues of the business sector. “After 14 years, the “Hermes Expo” has the ability to offer to our community valuable services. Beyond the contribution to professional and economic growth among Greek-American companies, the exhibition represents an area of expression for the Greek-American community and a forum for Greek culture and education.
“Therefore, this year, in gratitude for our Greek-American community that has strongly supported us through the years, we will organize and fund, under the exhibition’s framework, with multiple and parallel activities, the 'Opportunity Fair.'”
